Anyone who #freezes water in a filled and closed container knows that #water #expands as it freezes
If 3/4 of #Icebergs are under water, it only reason that as that ice melts it will create space for the 1/4 of the iceberg that is above the water to fill when it also melts.
Snow and ice in the mountains is more likely to to fill valleys and low spots first as it melts, refilling aquifers before heading out to sea (so to speak).
Also, consider the growing population where on average, each adult human contains about 11 gallons of water. Human population is expected to go from the present 7.7 BILLION to about 11.3 BILLION in 2100. That is 3.6 BILLION new people in less than 100 years.
Multiply that 2.6 x 11 gallons = 28.6 BILLION gallons of water.
This does not take into account the vast billions of gallons of water that our food supply uses and stores (whether animal or plant).
If the article that claims 58 Billion tons of Ice melted equals about 8.3 pounds per gallon of water from the Arctic and I'm not even going to embarrass myself with the math; but the way the cycles are going, there is likely to be very minimal global flooding. Certainly the weather patterns will and are presently changing. Some areas are getting more pleasant and other more miserable (one way or the other).
I get curious about all the #doomsayers and what is their political agenda? One certain motive is to unjustly increase taxation.
