Where We Were
and how we got herePrecedence"They did it! Why can't we?" Words often spoken by those who know they've done wrong. The question instead should be whether "they" should have done "it" in the first place. Present-day government, using precedence, proclaims that since the British Crown committed acts of tyranny and despotism against the colonists, they too may tyrannize the people of these united States of America; totally ignoring our government charters and the strict limits against such government powers. The way precedence is practiced today is exactly opposite the way The Constitution of the United States of America has designed it. Precedence is supposed to be used to correct past political evils by pardoning people who were convicted of crimes against laws that violate The Constitution of the united states of America. It is not supposed to be used to continue such violations, simply because politicians -- got away with it -- many years ago. More on this when we get into The Constitution of the United States of America, Article 3, where it mentions the power of the courts to try the law, the facts, and equity. This judges whether the law in question violates some element of The Constitution; because The Constitution may be amended by way of Article 5, which may nullify long standing laws that have been used to violate the citizen's rights.
