The Constitution of the United States of America, Article 6, Paragraph 1; provides a tool for Reducing the Nation's Debt to record-level lows.
Article 6, Paragraph 1:
"All Debts contracted and Engagements entered into, before the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be as valid against the United States under this Constitution, as under the Confederation."
Article 6 provides for the governed people the means by which to eliminate all of their unjust debt that their government officials passed on to them. They can pass all that unjust debt back onto those who voted for; signed, authorizing it; and or did not repeal it when they had the opportunity while in office.
The governed people are not obligated to pay any debts that the present Constitution did or does NOT specifically authorize the government officers to engage.
This also means closing every government office, agency, bureau, department, etc. that The Constitution has not authorized. This also means cutting the pay for all those who failed to work within the constitutional confines of their authority and who failed to live up to their oath to The Constitution.
The governed people, are intended to work together to properly control their government's powers to equally protect each other's rights.
