But what happens when a nation's pledge is not actually that nation's real pledge?
Such is the story of these united States of America.
This is the pledge taught as the nations pledge. Its full, Congressionally adopted text:
"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
A centrally planned economy in which the government controls all means of production.
The Constitution of the United States of America, Article 4, Section 4, (ratified in 1790)states:
The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government...
—Proof the person pledges their allegiance to the government, which is —the Republic. A government, which by its oath to support and defend The Constitution of the United States of America (Article 6) owes its allegiance to the people, the nation.
Congress, being fully informed of The Constitution's content; having sworn an oath to support and defend it; knew what it was doing with their "pledge of allegiance". Congress knew the TREASON (Article 3, Section 3) they committed by adopting this pledge and then forcing young impressionable minds to repeatedly recite this pledge, under penalty of punishment. That or they must claim that ignorance of the law —is a valid excuse. Because that pledge represents the grossest ignorance concerning The Supreme Law of the Land. That ignorance is TREASON (Article 3, Section 3).
Our nation's real pledge is as old as our nation. Since the people are the nation, it is a pledge among ourselves, the united States Americans.
From the last lines of the last paragraph of the The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America, it states:
"And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm Reliance on the Protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our fortunes, and our sacred Honor."
Without knowing the entire purpose for The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America; this pledge makes little sense.
The entire purpose of The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America is that of the equal security of all of our rights —not mine over yours or ours over theirs. All this means is that as a united States American, if I see your rights are unjustly attacked; it is my sworn duty, as a united States American, to come to your aid to defend your rights and especially so if I do not like you or the right you exercise; so long as you are not unjustly violating another's rights. With this, I also secure the protection of my own rights —because your rights and mine are identical, though each of us may exercise different rights from the list and perhaps place differing values on the same rights we choose.
This pledge does not tell us that we must lose any of that which we put at risk. But we must be willing to put all that we are and possess at risk in order to secure our rights. The longer we allow our government to get out of our control, the more likely the actual loss when we do finally act.
Our losses are certain when we do nothing. The government will tax us to death —consuming our life and our fortunes; also, destroying the value of our Honor, the reputation of a good name.
The government will pass laws that destroy the value of our good name —our sacred honor; when we violate those unconstitutional laws. The government will try us as criminals for having done nothing but violate an unconstitutional law, while —exercising one of our rights covered by Amendment 9; which states:
The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.
The unconstitutional law, itself, being the worst crime by violating The Supreme Law of the Land; detailed in The Constitution of the United States of America, Article 6. It states:
"This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding."
The difference between the two pledges is massive.
When we understand that the people are the nation; would our Nation's True Pledge pledge allegiance to the government or to the nation?
The nation, though it started falling right from the start; finished its fall when the citizens became willing pledge their allegiance to a government, The Republic (Article 4, Section 4) that owes its allegiance to the people, by way of The Constitution of the United States of America, Article 6.
The fall was not part of The Design. However, warnings about the fall are given so that we may prepare for when they show up.
—That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends [the security of the people's rights], it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government [...]
[...] and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.
But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.
A nation has fallen when the citizens do nothing to stop the ever-increasing government violations against their Standing Constitution.
We have, quite literally, allowed our subordinate employees in
the corporation we call government
to dictate the meaning of the Supreme Law of The Constitution we established to control their powers.
Yes. Every employee in government (Dog-Catcher to President, Congress, and supreme Court) are subordinate to The Constitution (Articole 6), which is subordinate to the will of the majority of the total body of registered voters, which in turn is subordinate to the terms of The unanimous Declaration. The Constitution is the first of four elements that make The Supreme Law of the Land we established to control our government.
As of this day (11/08/2019) very few people even recognize our government personnel as the tyrants and despots and traitors they are. This is not because I say they are, but because The Declaration and The Constitution tell us they are. —They are by their actions when violating The Constitution; as well as their inaction when they do not hold other government personnel accountable to their oath to The Constitution.
This content will help you easily recognize a tyrant, despot, and traitor within our government —as well as at the polls. Yes! A voter can just as easily be a traitor by trying to grant powers to government that violate The Declaration or by voting for a candidate who makes promises that violate The Constitution.

The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America details what is a domestic enemy by outlining what is a tyrant and despot.
The act of killing a tyrant.
Question is: How do you kill a tyrant without becoming just another tyrant?
As that is exactly what happened within these united States of America right after fighting King George III. From a Tea tax under King George III; to a Whiskey tax under President George I. From secession of the colonies from the Crown to secession of the Whiskey producers from the union.
From Mel Gibson's character in the movie "The Patriot"; We merely replaced one tyrant 3,000 miles away with 3,000 tyrants one mile away.

We, the governed people, are intended to work together to properly control government's powers to equally protect each other's rights; in accord with our nation's pledge from 1776.
